![]() About halfway through the fight, his friend Zallen appeared, and killed me. ![]() It was miserable, and makes for one of longest and worst runs to a boss in any Souls game.Īfter many attempts, I made it to the boss, Lud. Moving during a blizzard summons more of them, so traversing the area is a tedious game of red-light-green-light. It consists of a wide-open frozen wasteland that's periodically beset by blizzard that obscures the area and spawns lightning horses that kick your ass. This DLC area has a notorious reputation in the Souls series. I had to pause for like half a year at one point. It's honestly one of my favorite games of all time, it just feels more brilliant the more I think about it. Nothing about Baba is unfair or just meanly hidden, it all happens in plain sight and it literally spells out what you have to do, you just have to use your imagination of how the elements connect. There aren't even that many things left I can do or directions to push things, it feels like I actually brute forced every single combination of tile pushes in that level yet it simply won't work. I'm currently in like the last level of the actual actual actual final world and it's just frickin' impossible. I actually "beat" Baba Is You to where I saw the credits, but figured it's the kind of game that has a "secret" ending and of course it does. I don't look up hints because I'm with the Jonathan Blow school of puzzle gaming where looking up hints is pointless as it's the equivalent of looking up story spoilers for a book or movie, discovering them on your own is the whole point and just looking them up is pointless. It's my favorite genre I beat (and mostly 100%ed) games like The Witness, Stephen's Sausage Roll, The Talos Principle, Spacechem, Snakebird, Antichamber and The Swapper. It's course and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.īaba Is You is my white whale. Oh and the cacti, the goddamn cacti that puncture your suit and iirc you start losing O2 rapidly so you have to die or return to your ship (which usually wouldn't happen since you'd die before you even get close to your ship) !< Also it takes place underground in complete darkness AND has a maze like structure. Spoiler: >! The sand level would keep rising and some parts of the planet would become inaccessible if you didn't race to it. I know I could have gone somewhere else and come back to it later but just the thought of having to come back to that timed dark sand planet with cacti that pokes holes in your suit everywhere just killed any interest I had left in playing the game.Īs for why I hated the sand planet was because I got pretty hooked to it too but once I got to that sand planet my interest in the game completely died. I kept hearing praises for Outer Wilds and I started playing it. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
